What is Play Therapy?

3.png

"Because children's language development lags behind their cognitive development, they communicate their awareness of what is happening in their world through their play"

- Landreth & Bratton

Play therapy is a child-centred form of therapy mainly used with children. The play room is a safe

space for the children to express their

feelings, thoughts and experiences through

play. I aim to create a warm friendly relationship with your child, accepting them for who they are

and giving them permission to express themselves. I will recognise the feelings of your child and express those feelings back to them whilst respecting their ability to solve his/her problems and give the child the opportunity to do so.
